Interview Guidelines & Application Process

Thank you so much for your willingness to share your story and insights with our audience!

Please take a moment to review the Interview Terms & Conditions below, followed by some details about our interview process.

Interview Terms & Conditions

By participating in an interview with Thinkific, you agree to allow Thinkific to record, distribute and disseminate the produced media in any manner we feel is appropriate. You also agree to allow Thinkific to retain the rights to the produced media for use in our podcast, blog, social media, or any other forms of public distribution we may decide to utilize now or in the future.

Interview Topics

If you are a Thinkific customer and we are interviewing you in a Success Story (click here to see examples), here are the topics we will try to cover during the interview:

  • How you got started as an online course creator or entrepreneur
  • The process of creating and launching your online course or business
  • Marketing strategies you have utilized to promote your online course or business
  • Challenges you have faced along the way
  • Equipment, tools, software, and resources that have been helpful to you
  • Words of advice for other online course creators

If we are interviewing you as a Guest Expert, we will instead focus on your area of expertise as it relates to helping online course creators be more successful.

Preparing For Your Interview

For audio and video interviews, we use Zoom. We will provide a link to join the call via email approximately 5 minutes before the interview start time. Make sure you have a reliable internet connection during the interview (wired connection preferred).

Please note that using the built-in microphone in your computer or mobile phone will result in poor audio quality. If you do not own an external microphone, we recommend you purchase a Logitech ClearChat USB Microphone from Amazon. For video interviews, we recommend the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, although most newer laptops have decent built-in webcams.

A typical interview will last 30 minutes. Please allocate 35-40 minutes on your calendar to allow for sound check and brief discussion before the interview.

To help minimize background noises or possible interruptions (technological or otherwise), please ensure that you are in a private or enclosed area at the time of the interview. We also recommend turning off any notifications (web browser, email, social media, mobile phone, etc.) that could interrupt the interview.

Interview Application Process:

To submit your request to be interviewed, please complete our Interview Application Form. If we invited you to be interviewed, then you can skip this step.
