We’re in the business of impact
Thinkific is an AI-first learning management system (LMS) with built-in commerce. We help education businesses, training companies, and organizations deliver and sell branded learning to customers, partners, and members.
We build products that create impact and raise the bar on what’s possible through online learning.
Thinkific started with one course and an opportunity
Thinkific began with co-founder and CEO Greg Smith creating an LSAT course. Greg and his brother Matt recognized that they could reach more students globally and generate more revenue by offering his course online.
They worked together to custom-build everything and it didn’t take long to pay off. Earnings from their online course soon surpassed Greg’s corporate law practice, and experts and businesses started to reach out, wondering how they could start selling their own courses. So Greg, Matt, and co-founders Miranda Lievers and Matt Payne, set out to build the best possible platform for course creators — to simplify the process for others pursuing the same opportunity.
Today, companies like realtor.com, Nasdaq, University of Oxford and Ametek run their learning programs on Thinkific.
Steadfast in our mission
In the 13 years since, Thinkific has evolved beyond courses into communities, memberships, and more. We’re now a publicly traded company that empowers tens of thousands of customers — including companies like Hootsuite, GoDaddy, ActiveCampaign and Fiverr.
These incredible businesses have earned $4.23 billion in revenue through the platform and have impacted the lives and livelihoods of more than 200 million learners. Their stories never cease to inspire us and reinforce our mission to build a platform that supports their growth — and the growth of their customers.
And if you’re a part of Thinkific, you’re a part of that impact too — all of it, start to finish. We’re not watching from the sidelines to see how learning changes; we’re at the center of these changes, leading the charge.
