What is Thinkific MCP, and who can use it?
Thinkific MCP connects your Thinkific site to Claude and ChatGPT, so you can search courses, check enrollments, and look up learner profiles right from your AI assistant. It’s currently in beta and available on Thinkific Plus and above. Learn more about Thinkific MCP.
What happens to my data when I use Thinkific's AI features?
Your content stays yours and is never used to train AI models — ours or anyone else’s. Any platform-level improvements we make use of only anonymized, aggregated data. Your content and your learners’ information are encrypted at all times.
Who owns the content I create and the responses Thinker generates?
You do — all of it. Full ownership of both the content you bring to Thinkific and everything generated through our AI features belongs to you. Thinkific will never use your content without your explicit consent.
Do you share my data with third-party AI providers?
We only work with AI partners who contractually agree never to train their models on your content. Any third-party providers we use are held to the same privacy and security standards we hold ourselves to.
Is Thinkific compliant with global privacy regulations?
Yes. Thinkific is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and compliant with GDPR, CPRA, Canada’s PIPEDA, Québec’s Law 25, and other applicable regulations worldwide. We also conduct quarterly third-party security assessments and maintain 24/7 SIEM monitoring.
Can I control which learners or courses Thinker is active for?
Yes. Thinker is fully configurable — you decide where it’s enabled, and you can turn it off for specific courses or learner groups at any time.
Will Thinker give my learners inaccurate or off-brand responses?
Thinker is grounded in your content — it only draws on what you’ve given it access to, which significantly reduces the risk of inaccurate responses. You also set its tone, name, and greeting, so it sounds like your brand, not a generic chatbot.
Is Thinkific's AI keeping pace with what other platforms offer?
We’re not adding AI for the sake of it. Every feature we build is grounded in a decade of experience working with businesses like yours, and designed to drive real outcomes — learner completion, revenue growth, and reduced support overhead. Thinker, for example, goes beyond content creation tools to actively improve the learner experience.
Is there more AI development on the way at Thinkific, or is this it?
