  • How you contribute to shared goals
  • For leadership roles, the focus will be on how you develop and lead high-performing teams
  • We may ask a few follow-up questions to better understand your technical skills and the thinking behind your technical test

How to prepare

  • Reflect on real examples that show how you drive outcomes in a team setting
  • Come with questions—these conversations are also a chance for you to learn more about who you’d be working with!

After your interviews, the Thinkers involved in the hiring process will debrief using the Thinker Bar to guide consistent and well-rounded decisions. Read more about the Thinker Bar below.

If everything’s aligned, we’ll move into references and an offer!  This is where all the conversations come together, and we get ready to welcome you as a Thinker. Our Talent team will be right there to share details, answer questions, and celebrate the start of your Thinkific journey!

The Thinker Bar

The Thinker Bar is a thoughtful and consistent benchmark for what great looks like in each role—covering scope, skills, and the behaviours that will drive success. It reflects the traits that help Thinkers not only do thier job well, but truly succeed and raise the bar for learning.

Everyone brings these behaviours to life in their own way, shaped by their lived experiences, perspectives, and the unique paths that have brought them here. They help us build stronger, more diverse teams as we keep raising the bar as Team Thinkific!

AI use in the hiring process

Thinkific is an AI-forward company. We use AI tools across all teams, and our approach to hiring is no different. We use AI-assisted tools to support parts of our recruitment operations. We automate where it drives efficiency, but every hiring decision is made by a person, and a
high-touch, human candidate experience always comes first.

We encourage thoughtful, intentional use:
AI can help you articulate your thinking, but what we’re evaluating is your experience, skills, judgment, perspective, and reasoning. Here is what it looks like in each stage:

Technical Assessments

You may use AI tools. We’ll ask you how you used AI and to walk us through your approach and decisions in a follow-up interview, so come ready to discuss your thinking

Interviews

We value the human side of interviews and want you to show up as yourself. Our interviewers use AI for notetaking only, and it plays no role in how we evaluate you. In turn, we ask that you engage with interview questions on your own rather than using AI to help formulate your answers in real time

“Our hiring team loves to hear specific examples and metrics to describe the amazing things you’ve accomplished in your career journey! It’s helpful when candidates reflect on relevant projects and challenges, as well as their proudest moments. We’ll save plenty of time for questions and believe interviews are a two-way street, so always come curious!”

Interview tips

We will often ask about the work you’ve done. Think ahead about projects or situations relevant to the role that show the results you’ve created, how you approached challenges, and what you learned along the way. Many candidates find it helpful to use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to keep their stories clear and focused. If you haven’t experienced a situation the interviewer is curious about, we can walk through your thought process and what you would do in a particular scenario!

We’re curious about the results of your work. When sharing examples from your experience, connect your work to outcomes as numbers or explanations— whether that’s growth, efficiency gains, quality improvements, customer experience, or team effectiveness.

One of Thinkific’s values is to learn and grow! Sharing what was hard, what didn’t work, and how you grew shows reflection and a learning mindset that we value.

We encourage thoughtful, intentional use: AI can help you articulate your thinking, but what we’re evaluating is your experience, skills, judgment, perspective, and reasoning.

Take a moment to pause and collect your thoughts before answering, if you need to.

We aim for our interviews to feel like a comfortable, human, two-way conversation. Curiosity helps you decide if Thinkific is the right fit for you, too.

We can’t wait to meet you!
